The Seat Allocation view gives you a seat-level breakdown of a specific time slot. It shows the information you can expect to see for each seat, including which candidate is assigned, the seat’s current status, and the proctor responsible, along with the actions available to you. In this article, you will learn what the Seat Allocation view displays and what you can do within it.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:
  • Logged in with your Center Admin credentials.
  • Opened a center and navigated to the Capacity tab.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Seat Allocation view From the Capacity tab, click on a slot’s time link (e.g., “4 PM – 6 PM”). This opens the Seat Allocation view. The breadcrumb at the top confirms your navigation path. 2. Identify the room and schedule Seats are grouped under a label showing the room name and session date (e.g., “LRW1 — Thursday, Jun 18, 2026”). This tells you which room the seats belong to and the date of the session. A three-dot menu (⋯) on the right provides additional actions for that room. 3. Review seat details Each row represents an individual seat. The columns are:
  • Seat - the seat identifier.
  • Candidate - shows the assigned candidate’s name and email with an avatar. If no candidate is assigned, this displays a dash (—).
  • Status - the current state of the seat:
    • Available (green) - the seat is open and can be assigned to a candidate.
    • Occupied (grey) - a candidate is currently assigned to the seat.
  • Proctor - the proctor assigned to the seat, shown as an avatar. Click the icon on the avatar to remove the proctor assigned.
Each row also has a delete (trash) icon on the far right to remove the seat from the slot. 4. Add a room to the slot Click the + Add room button at the top right to assign additional rooms to this time slot. A modal will open showing available rooms from your center plan. Select the rooms you want to add and confirm. 5. Navigate between pages If there are more seats than the page can display, use the page controls at the bottom right to move between pages. You can adjust the Rows per page setting.
Additional Tips
  • Proctors are assigned at the individual seat level. You can assign the same proctor to multiple seats or different proctors to different seats within the same room.
  • Removing a seat from this view frees up that seat’s capacity for the time slot.
  • To go back to the Capacity tab, use the breadcrumb navigation at the top or click the Capacity tab.
