You can remove individual seats from a room through the Edit Room panel. This is useful when you need to reduce a room’s capacity or remove seats that are no longer in use. In this article, you will learn how to delete seats from a room in Center dashboard.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:
  • Logged in with your Center Admin credentials.
  • Opened a center and navigated to the Overview tab.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Edit Room panel From the Overview tab, scroll down to the Rooms section. Click on the room you want to edit. The Edit Room panel opens, showing the room’s Seat Allocation table. 2. Locate the seat you want to remove The Seat Allocation table lists all seats in the room with two columns:
  • Seat Name - the seat identifier.
  • Status - the current state of the seat (e.g., “Active”).
3. Click the delete icon Click the delete (trash) icon on the row of the seat you want to remove. The seat is removed immediately - changes are saved automatically. 4. Close the panel Once you’re done, click Cancel or the ”✕” icon to close the Edit Room panel. The room’s capacity on the Overview tab will update to reflect the new seat count.
Additional Tips
  • Changes are saved automatically, there’s no separate save button. Be careful when clicking the delete icon as the seat is removed immediately.
  • Make sure the seat isn’t currently assigned to a candidate in an upcoming or active session before removing it.
  • Deleting a seat reduces the room’s overall capacity, which may affect slot planning and bookings.
  • You can also remove seats from within the Seat Allocation view on the Capacity tab using the trash icon on individual seat rows.
