During a session, if a candidate violates exam rules or engages in inappropriate behavior, proctors have the option to suspend the candidate directly from the Candidate Management view. Suspension temporarily stops the candidate’s exam and flags the case for further review.

Suspending a Candidate

  1. Navigate to the Bookings page and start the scheduled session.
  2. In the Candidate Management view, locate the candidate you want to suspend.
  3. Click the menu next to the candidate’s name.
  4. Select Suspend candidate from the available options.
  5. In the suspension panel:
    • Choose a reason for suspension from the available options (e.g., unauthorized materials, communication violation, identity mismatch, etc.).
    • Add any additional context if required.
  6. Click Confirm Suspension.

What Happens After Suspension

  • The candidate’s status will be updated to Suspended.
  • The exam session for that candidate will be stopped immediately.
  • The action may require administrator review, depending on the system workflow.
  • The suspension will be recorded for future reference, including the reason and any notes added.

When to Suspend a Candidate

You should suspend a candidate when:
  • There is a serious rule violation
  • The candidate is using unauthorized materials
  • There is a clear identity mismatch
  • The candidate shows disruptive or suspicious behavior
  • The exam integrity is compromised
Best Practices
  • Ensure you have valid justification before suspending a candidate.
  • Select the most appropriate reason for accurate reporting.
  • Provide clear additional context to support further review.
  • Use suspension only when necessary, as it directly impacts the candidate’s exam attempt.
