Candidate statuses help administrators track a candidate’s progress throughout the exam lifecycle at the center. As a candidate moves through the exam process, from arrival at the center to exam completion the system updates their status accordingly. This article explains the different candidate status types and what each status represents during the exam process.

Candidate status types explained

The following table describes each candidate status and when it is typically used.

Updating a candidate’s status

While the system automatically updates most statuses as the exam progresses, you can manually update a candidate’s status when operational requirements change.
  1. Go to the Candidates tab from the center’s page.
  2. Locate the candidate whose status you want to update.
  3. Click the three-dot menu at the end of the candidate’s row.
  4. Select Update Status.
  5. Choose the appropriate status from the list.
  6. Confirm the change.
The candidate’s status is updated and reflected immediately in the Status column.
