Troubleshooting Issues

| Permissions not allowed (camera/mic/screen share) | Click the lock icon in your browser’s URL bar and allow access to camera, microphone, and screen sharing. |
| Extensions interfering with join process | Disable extensions like ad blockers or VPN plug-ins and reload the page. |
| Internet connection unstable or restricted | Use a stable, high-speed connection. Prefer wired Ethernet over Wi-Fi. Avoid VPNs, proxies, or corporate networks with strict firewalls. |
| Audio/video devices in use by other apps | Close other tools like Zoom or Teams that may already be using your camera/mic. |
| Time zone or scheduling mismatch | Double-check the date, time, and time zone of the scheduled interview. Join only within the allotted time window. |
| Stuck on “Waiting for others” screen | Verify whether the candidate or other evaluators have joined. Refresh the page or rejoin if the screen persists. |
| Authentication or access denied | Confirm you are logged in with the authorized account. Ensure you have the correct role/permissions to join. |
Additional Troubleshooting
- Restart your browser or computer.
- Test in Incognito/Private mode to rule out extension conflicts.
- Run Talview’s built-in device check before joining.
- Ensure your organization’s firewall or antivirus allows Talview interview URLs.
- Try a different supported browser or device if issues continue.
- Contact your recruiting coordinator if the issue is related to scheduling or permissions.
Checklist Before the Interview
Make sure that :- The latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Safari is being used.
- Camera, microphone, and screen-sharing permissions are granted.
- Internet connection is stable (preferably wired).
- Unnecessary extensions or VPNs are disabled.
- Interview date, time, and time zone are confirmed.
- Joined at least 5–10 minutes early to test the setup.
