Workflow Tools Enhancements

This month, we introduced enhancements focused on improving candidate communication and reducing manual follow-ups across workflows.

🆕 Feature

1. Assessment (Exam) - 48-Hour Reminder Email Description: Candidates scheduled for a certification exam now receive a 48-hour reminder email, consistent with reminder behavior across other interview types. What’s New
  • Reminder email is automatically sent 48 hours before the scheduled exam.
  • Consistent with existing reminder behavior for other interview types.

🆕 Feature

Moodle 4.5 LMS - Plugin-Based Integration Description: Talview has moved from a browser extension-based integration to a plugin-based integration for Moodle 4.5 LMS. What’s New
  • Previously, every student and administrator had to individually install a browser extension to access proctoring capabilities.
  • With the new plugin-based approach, it is a one-time installation on the LMS server by the administrator.
  • Once installed, all users on that LMS instance automatically get access to proctoring capabilities with no individual installation required.

🐞 Bug Fixes

1️⃣ Auto scroll issue in proctor chat
Issue: When a proctor had a chat open with a candidate and tried to scroll up to read older messages, they were automatically pulled back down to the latest message, making it impossible to review the chat history. Solution: Proctors can now freely scroll through older messages without being auto-scrolled. The chat will only auto-scroll to the latest message when the proctor reaches the bottom of the thread or sends a reply. 2️⃣ Cornerstone LMS - Unexpected Exits during proctored quiz Issue: Students taking a proctored quiz on Cornerstone LMS were being unexpectedly forced out of their exam by a “Leave Site” pop-up, even when they selected Cancel. Solution: This has been fixed with an updated version of the browser extension, now published to the Chrome Store. Students will no longer be interrupted or forced out of their exam by this pop-up.

This month, we focused on improving the accuracy and reliability of candidate-facing communications.

Enhancements

1️⃣ Remove estimated duration from Assessment emails when value is undefined Description: The “Estimated Duration” section has been removed from assessment invite and reminder email templates when no assessment_section_time value is configured. What’s New
  • Previously, this field was rendering as “undefined” in candidate-facing emails, causing confusion.
  • Candidates now receive clean, accurate email communications without placeholder or undefined values appearing in assessment details.
