The Capacity tab provides a detailed view of the exam slots scheduled at a center, including the number of rooms available, seat capacity, candidate bookings, and how effectively the rooms are being utilized. This view helps administrators monitor upcoming sessions, manage seat availability, and track candidate participation across different time slots. Each row in the Capacity table represents a specific exam slot for a particular date and time.

Accessing the Capacity Tab

To view the capacity details for a center:
  1. Go to the In-Center Dashboard.
  2. Click Centers from the left navigation panel.
  3. Select the center you want to manage.
  4. Click the Capacity tab at the top of the page.
The Capacity table will display all the scheduled slots for the selected date range.

Columns in the Capacity Table

Slot

The Slot column shows the scheduled exam time for a specific day. Slots are grouped by date, and each row represents a specific time window during which exams can take place. Example:
  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
This helps administrators quickly identify when exam sessions are planned for a center.

Exam Type

The Exam Type column indicates the type of exam being conducted in that slot. Common exam types include:
  • CBT (Computer-Based Test) – Exams conducted on computers.
  • PBT (Paper-Based Test) – Exams conducted using paper answer sheets.
This allows administrators to distinguish between different exam formats scheduled at the center.

Rooms

The Rooms column shows the number of rooms allocated for that particular slot. Each room represents a physical or virtual testing space where candidates will take their exams. The number displayed here indicates how many rooms are available to host candidates during that slot. For example, if 10 rooms are listed, candidates can be distributed across those rooms depending on seat availability.

Seats

The Seats column displays the total number of seats available across all allocated rooms for that slot. This represents the maximum number of candidates that can be accommodated during that exam session. For example:
  • If a slot shows 576 seats, it means the center can accommodate up to 576 candidates for that session.

Bookings

The Bookings column shows the number of candidates currently scheduled or present for the slot. This column visually represents candidate activity using a progress bar and two status counts:
  • Lobby – Candidates who have arrived and are waiting to begin the exam.
  • Checked-in – Candidates who have completed the check-in process and are ready for the exam.
This helps administrators monitor how many candidates have arrived and how many are ready to begin the session.

Room Utilization

The Room Utilization column provides a visual indicator of how effectively the available seats are being used. It is typically displayed as a mini bar chart or utilization indicator, representing how seats are distributed across rooms. The number displayed alongside the chart indicates the utilization level, helping administrators quickly assess whether the available capacity is being fully used or underutilized. Higher utilization generally means:
  • More seats are filled
  • Rooms are being used efficiently
Lower utilization may indicate:
  • Unused seats
  • Opportunity to optimize room allocation

Date Range

At the top of the Capacity tab, administrators can select a Date Range (for example, Next 30 Days) to view capacity across upcoming sessions. This helps administrators plan ahead and monitor future exam schedules.

Planning New Capacity Slots

The + Planning button in the top-right corner allows administrators to create recurring exam availability schedules. When clicked, a Recurring Availability window appears where administrators can configure:
  • Schedule Name – A label for the schedule.
  • Start Date – The first day the schedule begins.
  • Start Time – When the exam slot starts.
  • End Time – When the exam slot ends.
  • Day Selection – Choose which days of the week the slot should repeat.
  • Until Date – The final date for the recurring schedule.
Once saved, the system automatically generates capacity slots across the selected days and date range, which then appear in the Capacity table.

Why the Capacity Tab is Important

The Capacity tab helps administrators:
  • View all upcoming exam slots for a center
  • Monitor seat availability
  • Track candidate arrivals and check-ins
  • Evaluate room utilization
  • Plan recurring exam schedules
By using the Capacity tab effectively, administrators can ensure that exam centers operate smoothly while making optimal use of available rooms and seats.
