The Capacity tab in Talview displays all scheduled exam slots across dates, exam types, time ranges, rooms, and seat availability. As the number of slots grows, scrolling through the full list to find what you need becomes time-consuming. Filtering and search options help you narrow the list to specific slots so you can review and manage scheduling faster. In this article, you will learn how to use filters and the search bar in the Capacity tab, understand what each filter option does, and combine filters with search to locate slots efficiently.

Before you begin

  • You need administrator or center manager access to view the Capacity tab.
  • The Capacity tab is accessible from the center overview. Make sure exam slots have already been created before attempting to filter or search.

Step-by-step guide

1. Open the Capacity tab

  • Navigate to the center overview.
  • Select the Capacity tab. The page displays all scheduled slots with details such as date, time, exam type, assigned rooms, and seat availability.

2. Apply filters to narrow down slots

  • At the top of the Capacity table, click the Filter icon to open the filtering panel.
  • Select one or more filter criteria from the available options. Each filter narrows the displayed slots based on the value you choose:
    • Date — Limits the view to slots scheduled on a specific date or within a date range. Use this when reviewing upcoming schedules or checking availability for a particular day.
    • Exam type — Shows only slots associated with a specific exam type. This is helpful when your center hosts multiple exam formats and you need to manage one type at a time.
    • Time slot — Filters slots that fall within a specific time range. Use this to focus on morning, afternoon, or evening sessions without scanning the entire list.
  • After selecting your filter values, apply the filters. The table refreshes and displays only the slots matching your selected criteria.
  • To return to the full slot list, click Clear filters to remove all applied filters.
Filters don’t carry over between sessions. Each time you open the Capacity tab, the view resets to show all slots. Reapply filters as needed.

3. Search for slots in the Capacity tab

  • At the top of the Capacity tab, locate the Search field.
  • Enter a keyword related to the slot you’re looking for — such as a date, time, or exam type name.
  • As you type, the table automatically updates to show slots matching your search term.
  • To return to the full list, clear the text from the Search field.
Search matches against visible column data. If you’re not finding a slot you expect, check whether an active filter is hiding it — clear all filters first, then search again.
