Operating hours define when a center is available to conduct exams and generate exam slots. Administrators can set or update operating hours for each day of the week to ensure exams are scheduled only during the center’s available time. This article explains how to configure or update the operating hours for a center.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to set or modify the center’s working hours.

1. Open the Center Overview page

Navigate to the Overview tab for the center. This page displays key information about the center, including exam type, operating hours, and other configuration details.

2. Locate the Operating Hours section

In the Overview page, find the Operating Hours section. This area displays the current schedule for each day of the week (for example, Monday–Friday open hours and Saturday–Sunday closed).

3. Open the operating hours editor

Click Edit Details below the Operating Hours section. This opens the Hours configuration panel, where you can modify the working schedule.

4. Choose the day you want to edit

In the Hours panel, each day of the week appears with its current status. Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to a specific day to modify its schedule.

5. Set the operating time for the selected day

If the center operates on that day:
  • Enter the Start time (for example, 9:00 AM).
  • Enter the End time (for example, 8:00 PM).
If the center does not operate on that day, set the status to Closed.

6. Repeat the configuration for other days

Update the operating hours for any other days where changes are required.

7. Review the configured schedule

Confirm that the selected days and time ranges accurately reflect the center’s working hours.

8. Save the operating hours

Click Submit to apply the changes. The updated hours will immediately appear in the Operating Hours section on the Overview page. Once saved, these operating hours determine the time range within which exam slots can be created for the center.

✅ Next steps

After configuring operating hours, you may want to continue preparing the center for exam scheduling:
  • Create recurring slot availability using the Planning feature.
  • Assign rooms and seats to exam slots.
  • Assign proctors to supervise exam rooms.
  • Monitor candidate bookings in the Candidates tab.

Additional Tips

  • Exam slots can only be scheduled within the configured operating hours.
  • If a day is marked Closed, no exam slots can be generated for that day.
  • Always review operating hours before generating slots using the Planning feature.
  • If operating hours change, verify that existing slots still fall within the updated time window.
