If your evaluation form does not save or submit during a Live interview in Talview, this checklist helps you identify common session, browser, network, permission, or platform-related causes and resolve them quickly.

Your login session has expiredRefresh the page and log in again, then retry saving the form. If evaluations take a long time, ask your admin to review session timeout settings.
You are using an unsupported or outdated browserUse the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Update your browser or switch to another supported browser and try again.
Network connection is unstable or interruptedCheck your internet connection, switch to a more stable network, or use a wired Ethernet connection. Retry saving once the connection stabilizes.
The evaluation form is locked, read-only, or not publishedConfirm that the form is published and editable for the current interview workflow. Contact your admin to re-open or publish the form if needed.
Recent platform updates or newly enabled features are affecting the formAsk your admin to verify whether recent feature changes were enabled and temporarily disable them to confirm if they are impacting form submission.
Required fields are incomplete or have validation errorsComplete all mandatory questions and resolve any visible validation messages before attempting to save or submit.
Action buttons are unresponsive due to cache or browser extensionsClear browser cache and cookies, disable ad blockers or privacy extensions, refresh the page, and try again.
Your role or permissions do not allow form submissionVerify that you have the correct evaluator role and permissions. Request your admin to update access if required.
A temporary system or platform error is occurringCapture screenshots, error messages, or timestamps and contact support after checking whether any maintenance activity is in progress.

Additional tips:

  • Use only supported browsers and keep them updated before starting interviews.
  • Avoid using browser Back or Forward buttons while filling the evaluation form.
  • Review mandatory questions at the beginning to prevent last-minute validation issues.
  • Test evaluation workflows after major platform updates.
  • Enable draft-saving or autosave options, if available, during high-volume evaluation cycles.
