When reviewing a completed session, you may want to verify the photo ID the candidate submitted during onboarding, to confirm whether the document is the correct type and whether the face on the ID matches the candidate’s photo on file. The ID Verification section of the summary report gives you a side-by-side view of both checks so you can assess them at a glance.

Step-by-step guide

1. Expand the ID Verification subsection In the Candidate Submissions section, click the arrow next to ID Verification to expand it.
Note: You’ll see the overall result, Passed or Failed - displayed next to the section header.
2. Review the ID Type Match Under ID Type Match, you’ll see the ID Front and ID Back images the candidate submitted.
Note: The status on the right, Matched or Not Matched tells you whether the document matches the expected ID format.
3. Review the Face Match Under Face Match, you’ll see the Photo ID Face extracted from the submitted ID alongside the candidate’s Base Image. The status tells you whether the two faces are consistent.
Note: Hover over the ⓘ icon next to ID Type Match or Face Match to understand what each check validates and how the result is determined.
4. Click on an image to view it in detail Click any image to open it in an expanded modal for a closer look.
Additional tips
  • A single mismatch in either check is enough to result in an overall Failed status for ID Verification.
  • The Photo ID Face is the face extracted from the candidate’s submitted photo ID.
  • The Base Image is the reference photo captured during the candidate’s first ever proctored session and is used for all future face comparisons.
