๐ What the Network Speed Test Checks
When you click Start Check, Talviewโs system will automatically test:- Connectivity โ Verifies that your device is online and able to connect to our servers.
- Bandwidth โ Checks if your internet speed is sufficient for video streaming and real-time interaction.
- Latency โ Measures how quickly data travels between your device and our servers. Lower latency means smoother video and audio.
โ How to Run the Check
- Go to the System Readiness Check page.
- Click the Start Check button.
- Wait while the system analyzes your internet connection.
๐ Understanding the Results
If all tests pass, youโre ready to proceed with your assessment or interview.- If Connectivity fails: You are not connected to a stable internet source.
- If Bandwidth is low: You may experience frozen video or delayed audio. You may be using a congested or limited-speed network.
- If Latency is high: You may face choppy video or audio echo due to data delays.
โ ๏ธ What to Do if You See a Warning or Failure
Here are some tips if your speed test result indicates high latency, low bandwidth, or unstable connectivity:- Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi if available.
- Close apps and tabs that use the internet heavily (e.g., Zoom, Netflix, YouTube).
- Avoid VPNs, as they may increase latency.
- Restart your modem/router before retrying the check.
- Sit closer to your Wi-Fi router if youโre on wireless.
- If youโre using a mobile hotspot, ensure you have full signal and no background apps consuming data.
๐ When Should You Retest?
Click Retest if:- Youโve made any network changes (e.g., switched to mobile data or a different Wi-Fi).
- You closed apps or restarted your router.
- Your test showed a warning or failure earlier.
