Every form in the Forms list has a status that tells you where it is in its lifecycle. In this article, you’ll learn what each status means, how to identify them in the list, and how a form’s status affects its availability to respondents.

What are the form statuses?

Draft A form in Draft status is still being worked on. It hasn’t been published, so it’s not accessible to respondents. You can continue editing the form, adding fields, and customising its appearance. Use Draft when you’re still building the form or want to make changes before making it available. Published A form in Published status is live and accessible to respondents through its shared link or QR code. Published is shown in green text in the Status column. Once a form is published, responses start getting collected as respondents fill it in. Use Published when the form is ready and you want respondents to start submitting their information or feedback. Archived A form in Archived status has been taken out of active use. Archived forms are no longer accessible to respondents, but their responses are still preserved. Archiving a form doesn’t delete it or its data. Use Archived when you no longer need a form to be active but want to keep it and its responses for reference.
