Opening a registration window is essential for allowing candidates to begin applying or completing a workflow application. When the “Open Registration” button is not visible in the workflow footer, recruiters cannot initiate the registration period, causing delays in hiring drives and workflow activation. This diagnostic article lists the most common reasons for the missing button and provides direct solutions, following the same format as your original Drive Room diagnostic.

🔎 Troubleshooting Common Issues

IssueHow to Fix It
Workflow is not in a state that allows registrationThe “Open Registration” button appears only when the workflow is Open.
Check the workflow status in the list view.
If it is Closed, or Draft, registration cannot be opened.
User does not have permissions to manage registrationOnly users with **Master Recruiter, Workflow Owner, or Collaborator **permissions can open registration.
Registration window is already open or scheduledIf a registration window is already open or scheduled for a future time, then instead of “Open Registration” you will see “View Registration”.
Browser cache or rendering issueThe footer sometimes fails to load due to cache, cookies, zoom, or layout issues.
Clear cache and cookies, refresh using Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R, reduce zoom to 80–100%, or try opening the workflow in Chrome Incognito mode.
Feature flag disabled for the tenantSome tenants have the Registration Window feature controlled via a feature flag.
Check with your Talview admin or support whether the feature is enabled for your environment.
Request activation if the flag is turned off.
Platform synchronization delayAfter updating workflow settings, it may take 1–2 minutes for footer actions to refresh.
Wait briefly and then refresh or log out and log in again.
If the button is still missing, contact Talview Support for deeper investigation.

Additional Tips

  • For large hiring drives, maintain a backup workflow to avoid delays if the main workflow encounters configuration issues.
  • When reporting to Support, include the workflow ID, tenant name, and screenshots for faster troubleshooting.
