Discovering that a recording is missing for a completed interview can make it difficult to assess the candidate’s performance thoroughly. This is usually caused by the recording not being captured during the session, a processing delay, or a configuration issue on Talview.
In this article, you will find the most common causes and fixes to understand why the recording isn’t available and what you can do about it.

🔎 Troubleshooting Common Issues

Additional Tips
  • If the recording is missing for multiple candidates from the same interview session, it’s likely a session-level recording issue rather than a candidate-specific one. Flag this to the recruiter so they can investigate across all affected candidates at once.
  • If the recording still isn’t available after a significant wait, reach out to the recruiter to check whether the interview platform captured the session correctly.
  • Even if a recording isn’t available, you can still proceed with your evaluation using the candidate’s assessment scores, resume fitment, screening details, and any notes you may have taken during the interview.
  • If the issue persists after trying all the steps above, reach out to your admin or recruiter for further assistance.
