During a Live Interview, the system continuously validates the candidate’s face visibility as part of the authentication process. If the candidate’s face is not detected, the system updates the verification status in real time within the interview interface.

Video Guide

1. Open the Candidate’s Profile

  • During the Live Interview, click Profile (top-right corner of the screen).
  • The candidate details panel will open on the right side of the interface.
  • This panel contains Details, Verification, and Environment Check tabs.

2. Click on the Verification Tab

  • Under Profile, select the Verification tab.
  • This section displays authentication attempts recorded during the session.
  • If the candidate’s face was not detected: The verification status will show a red “Failed” label in the top-right corner of the panel.
This indicates authentication failure due to face detection issues.

3. Review the Failed Verification Entry

Within the Verification tab:
  • You will see a timeline of captured images with timestamps.
  • The specific entry corresponding to the failed attempt will be marked Failed.
  • A thumbnail image is displayed for review
  • You can click on the thumbnail to:
    • View the captured frame.
    • Understand why the detection failed (e.g., candidate moved out of frame, face not visible, obstruction, lightning issues).

If you see a Failed verification status:
  1. Inform the candidate that their face is not clearly visible.
  2. Ask them to adjust their seating position or camera angle.
  3. Ensure proper lighting and full face visibility.
  4. Proceed once visibility is restored.
If repeated failures occur, follow your organization’s escalation guidelines.

What Does “Failed” Mean?

A Failed status in the Verification tab typically means:
  • The candidate moved out of the camera frame
  • The face was partially visible
  • Lighting prevented proper detection
  • The camera view was obstructed
The system logs the failed authentication attempt automatically.
