This article guides attendees through uploading their ID card during Talview’s onboarding process. Following these steps helps ensure successful identity verification and prevents delays in proceeding to the assessment.

✅ Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • A valid physical-original government-issued photo ID (Passport, National ID, or Driver’s License)
  • A working webcam with a clean lens
  • Adequate lighting in your onboarding environment
  • Close Background applications that use the camera (such as Zoom)

How to upload your ID card

Watch the step-by-step walkthrough:
When you reach the Photo ID Verification step during onboarding:
  1. Click Proceed to begin the ID upload process.
  2. Select the Country that issued your ID.
  3. Select the State where the ID was issued.
  4. Choose the Type of ID (Driver’s License, Passport, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, or Student ID).
  5. Capture clear images of both the front and back of the ID card as prompted.
  6. Review the images and submit them for verification.

What happens after ID card upload

After submission, your ID is securely sent for verification. An exam supervisor reviews the uploaded ID to confirm that it matches your captured image. This verification typically takes up to 10 minutes, though timing may vary. Once approved, you proceed to the Environment Check and subsequent hardware checks before entering the exam environment.

Best practices for a successful upload

  • Clean your camera lens to avoid blur or smudges
  • Use a plain, uncluttered background
  • Hold the ID card steady at a readable distance
  • Ensure all text and the photo on the ID are clearly visible
  • Keep the ID flat and aligned with the camera to prevent distortion
