What is an Asynchronous Assessment?
An asynchronous assessment, often referred to as a recorded assessment, is a type of an assessment where candidates answer questions without being in real-time interaction with the recruiter or assessment facilitator. This format allows candidates to record their responses at their convenience, as they can access the questions whenever they choose, within a specified timeframe.Prerequisites
Before starting the assessment, ensure that you have:- A stable internet connection.
- A computer or laptop with a webcam and microphone.
- Access to the assessment link provided by the recruiter or employer.
- A compatible web browser (Chrome and Firefox is recommended).
Steps to take an Asynchronous Assessment (Web)
Step 1: Access the Assessment Link
- You will receive a mail with a link to access the assessment.
- Click on this link, this will redirect you to the Talview assessment portal.
- Enter the email id to which the invitation was sent and enter the confirmation code, sent to your email.
Step 2: Read the Instructions
- Prior to commencing the assessment, read all provided instructions carefully.
- Familiarize yourself with the assessment format, timing, and any guidelines.
Step 3: Start the Assessment
- Take the Practice recording, to understand how the actual response recording works. Here, your microphone and camera capability will be checked.
- Once you’re done practicing, you can proceed to start the assessment.
Step 4: Record Your Video Responses
- Start recording your video responses to the questions asked.
- Speak clearly and maintain eye contact with the camera to engage.
- Once you’re done with your response, Click on Stop recording.
- Click Retake to record your response again, if you want to improve your answer.
Step 5: Feedback and Assessment submission
- After submitting the assessment, provide feedback based on your experience.
