This article provides a comprehensive guide for candidates to navigate between questions during an Objective Assessment (With and without skip) using Talview’s Workflow Tools.

Step-by-Step Guide

In assessments where skips are not allowed, you must choose an answer before moving to another question.
  • Select your preferred option for the current question.
  • You can also click the question number from the navigation panel.
In assessments where skips are enabled, you can move freely between questions even if some are unanswered.
  • Use the question numbers on the navigation panel to move forward or backward at any time.
  • You can scroll down after viewing or answering the current question to automatically reach the next one.

Use Mark for review

The “Mark for review” option helps you flag questions you want to revisit before submitting.
  • On any question, click the icon to Mark for review; the question’s number in the navigation panel changes to blue.
  • You can continue to scroll down or click other question numbers to move ahead; marked questions remain flagged until you return and unmark them or submit the test.

What happens when you click “Submit”?

When you click Submit, a confirmation pop-up appears summarizing your assessment status before final submission.
  • The pop-up shows how many questions you have not answered and how many you have marked for review and then asks if you want to review your answers again.
  • Click “Yes, Review” to go back to the test and use the navigation panel or scroll to revisit unanswered or marked questions.
  • Click “No, Finish” if you are confident about your responses and want to submit the assessment; after this, you typically cannot change your answers.
Additional Tips:
  • Keep an eye on the question counter and timer so you can pace yourself and avoid rushing through the last few questions.
  • Use Mark for review strategically for questions you are unsure about, and plan time near the end to revisit them.
  • Avoid refreshing the browser or using the back button, as this can interrupt your test session or cause you to lose progress.
  • If the page appears to freeze while scrolling or switching questions, wait a few seconds before clicking again to prevent accidental multiple actions.
