If a candidate needs to move to a different slot, you can reschedule their booking directly from the slot view in the Coordinator Console. Rescheduling reassigns the candidate to a new slot without removing them from the exam. In this article, you will learn how to reschedule a candidate’s booking in the Coordinator Console. Before You Begin Make sure you have:
  • Coordinator role access on your Talview account.
  • An active exam with at least one schedule slot that has candidate bookings.
  • At least one other available slot for the candidate to be moved to.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the exam from the Exams list From the Coordinator Console, navigate to the Exams section using the left sidebar. Click on the exam you want to manage. 2. Go to the relevant assessment step tab Inside the exam, click the tab for the assessment step where the candidate’s booking exists - for example, Listening, Reading & Writing or Speaking. 3. Click on the slot The schedule view shows all slots grouped by date, with columns for Slot, Centers, Capacity, and Bookings. Locate the slot the candidate is currently booked in and click the slot time link (e.g., 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM). This opens the Candidates sub-view for that slot. 4. Locate the candidate The Candidates sub-view shows all candidates booked for that slot with the following columns:
  • Candidate - the candidate’s name and email address.
  • Booking External ID - the external ID associated with the booking.
  • Status - the candidate’s current booking status (e.g., Registered).
  • Center - the center the candidate is booked at.
  • Score - the candidate’s score, if available.
Find the candidate whose booking you want to reschedule. 5. Open the three-dot menu Click the menu icon (⋮) at the right end of the candidate’s row. A dropdown appears with two options:
  • Reschedule
  • Cancel
6. Click Reschedule Select the slot you wish to move the candidate to and Click Reschedule. The candidate’s booking is moved to the new slot.
Additional Tips
  • Rescheduling a candidate moves them out of their current slot and into a new one, the original slot’s available capacity increases by one seat after the reschedule.
  • If no other slots are available for the assessment step, create a new schedule before attempting to reschedule.
  • If you want to remove a candidate from a slot entirely without moving them to another, use the Cancel option from the same three-dot menu instead.
