The assessment tab in the Coordinator Console shows all candidates invited to a specific assessment step. When you have a large number of candidates, filters help you quickly narrow down the list by status, score, or risk index. In this article, you will learn how to filter candidates in the assessment tab of the Coordinator Console. Before You Begin Make sure you have:
  • Coordinator role access on your Talview account.
  • An active exam with at least one candidate invited to an assessment step.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the exam from the Exams list From the Coordinator Console, navigate to the Exams section using the left sidebar. Click on the exam you want to manage. 2. Go to the assessment step tab Inside the exam, click the tab for the assessment step you want to filter. The tab shows the total candidate count in brackets. 3. Click the filter icon In the top-right area of the assessment tab, click the filter icon (next to the Search bar). A filter panel opens on the right with three filter options: Status, Score, and Risk Index. 4. Select a filter Status Filter by the candidate’s current status in the assessment. Select one or more of the following:
  • Invited - candidate has been invited but has not yet started
  • In Progress - candidate has started the exam
  • Completed - candidate has finished the exam
  • Selected - candidate has been selected
  • Hold - candidate’s assessment is on hold
  • Suspended - candidate’s session has been suspended
  • Turned Down - candidate has been turned down
  • No Show - candidate did not show up for their scheduled slot
Score Filter by the candidate’s score within a defined range. Use the Min and Max input fields or drag the slider to set your range (0–100). Click Apply to confirm or Cancel to discard. Risk Index Filter by the candidate’s proctoring risk level. Select one or more of the following:
  • Low - low likelihood of integrity concerns
  • Needs Review - session requires coordinator review
  • High - high likelihood of integrity concerns
5. Review the filtered results The candidate list updates automatically to show only candidates matching your selected filters. You can apply multiple filters at the same time - for example, filtering by Status = Completed and Risk Index = Needs Review to find completed candidates whose sessions require review. 6. Clear the filters To remove all filters and return to the full candidate list, click the filter icon again and clear your selections. For the Score filter, click Cancel to discard without applying.
Additional Tips
  • Use the Search bar alongside filters for more precise results - for example, search for a candidate by name while filtering by Status = Completed.
  • The Risk Index filter is particularly useful after a large exam - filter by Needs Review or High to quickly identify candidates whose sessions require closer inspection before results are finalised.
  • The Score filter range slider allows you to set precise score thresholds - for example, setting Min = 0 and Max = 50 to find all candidates who scored below 50.
  • Click Export to download the filtered candidate list for offline reference or reporting.
