Live Interviews in the platform give you full control over your camera and microphone both before entering the interview and during the live session. This helps you verify your device setup, avoid interruptions, and comply with interviewer guidelines.
Before Joining the Interview
When you enter the Interview Lobby, you will see the audio and video preview screen. Here, you can check your setup and adjust your device controls.
You can:
- Turn On/Off Camera: Click the Camera icon to enable or disable your video before joining.
- Mute/Unmute Microphone: Click the Mic icon to mute or unmute your audio.
Steps to Set Up Before Joining
- Open your interview link to reach the Interview Lobby.
- If prompted, allow your browser to access the camera and microphone.
- Use the Camera icon to turn your video on or off.
- Use the Mic icon to mute or unmute your audio.
- Confirm that your video and audio preview is working correctly.
During the Live Interview
Once you join the interview room, the camera and microphone controls will be visible on the toolbar.
You can:
- Click to mute or unmute your microphone at any time.
- Click to turn your video on or off as needed.
Steps During the Live Interview
- Once in the interview room, locate the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the Mic button at any time to mute or unmute.
- Click the Camera button to switch your video on or off.
- Your changes apply instantly, without interrupting the call.

Important Note
Most interviewers require candidates to:
- Keep Camera On throughout the interview for verification and engagement.
- Keep the Microphone Unmuted unless specifically instructed to mute.
