After you complete onboarding, you may need to wait before your exam begins. In this article, you will learn what you can and can’t do while you wait for your exam to start on Talview.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:
  • Used the restroom and prepared your desk before starting onboarding.
  • Silenced your phone and placed it out of reach.
  • Closed all tabs and applications not needed for the test.

While You Wait

Your camera and screen share stay on after onboarding, and your session continues to be monitored while you wait. Until your exam starts:
  • Stay seated and remain in the camera frame.
  • Don’t leave the room.
  • Make sure no one else enters the room.
  • Don’t open other tabs or applications.
  • Stay on the waiting screen. You don’t need to click anything.

When Your Exam Starts

Your exam starts automatically at the scheduled time, and you’ll be taken in without needing to do anything. If the scheduled time has passed and your exam hasn’t started, use Need Help to contact the proctor. Don’t refresh or close the window.

  • Complete onboarding early, so any issues are resolved before your exam begins.
  • Stay seated at your desk so you’re ready when the exam starts.
