In this article, we explain what screen sharing is, why it is mandatory for a proctored exam, and how it helps ensure a fair and secure assessment. Screen sharing allows the system to monitor your exam screen in real time, without it, the exam cannot begin.
🖥️ Screen sharing during the exam
Step 1: Review the instructions
On the screen-sharing page:
- You’ll see a short visual guide (GIF or preview) showing how to share your screen
- A message explains that the proctor needs to view your entire screen before the exam starts
This ensures all exam activity is visible and monitored correctly.
Step 2: Click “Share Screen”
Click the Share Screen button to proceed.
A system window will open, allowing you to choose what you want to share.
Step 3: Choose what to share
You’ll see three options:
- Browser (Any browser tab)
- Window
- Entire Screen
ImportantYou are expected to select Entire Screen. Selecting any other option may prevent you from continuing.
Step 4: Start sharing
Once you’ve selected Entire Screen:
- Click Share
- Your screen sharing will begin
- The proctoring system will confirm the screen is visible
After this step, you’ll be allowed to proceed with the exam.
