Once resumes have been processed, Workflow Tools assigns each candidate a fitment based on how well their resume matches your configured criteria. This article explains how to use the resume fitment to efficiently prioritize candidates and focus your attention where it matters most.

Understanding Fitment Labels

Every processed resume is assigned one of three fitment labels:
Fitment LabelWhat It Means
Strong FitThe candidate closely matches the configured criteria
Potential FitThe candidate meets some criteria but not all
Low FitThe candidate does not meet most of the criteria
These fitment levels are generated by AI based on how the candidate’s resume compares against your Essential, Preferred, and Optional criteria - giving you an instant snapshot of candidate quality without having to read each resume manually.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Navigate to the Screening Step Fitment labels are visible within the Screening step of the workflow as well as the All tab.
  1. Open the relevant workflow
  2. Go to the Screening step or the All tab
  3. You will see all candidates listed along with their fitment labels in the list view
Step 2: Filter Candidates by Fitment Label To quickly surface the most relevant candidates, use the fitment filter in the list view.
  1. Click on the filter option in the list view
  2. Select the fitment label(s) you want to focus on - for example, filter by Strong Fit to see only your top candidates
  3. The list will update to show only candidates matching your selected filter
This is especially useful when you have many applicants and want to quickly identify who to move forward with in the hiring process.
Step 3: Review the Reasoning Before Making a Decision A fitment label alone is a starting point - the reasoning summary inside each candidate’s profile gives you the full picture. To view the reasoning:
  1. Click on a candidate from the list
  2. Go to the Overview tab → Resume sub-tab
  3. Read the AI-generated reasoning that explains why the candidate was scored the way they were
This is particularly useful for Potential Fit candidates, where the reasoning can help you decide whether to move them forward or not based on which criteria they met and which they didn’t. Step 4: Review the Resume Directly Alongside the fitment label and reasoning, the candidate’s resume file is available in the same tab. You can:
  • View it inline without leaving the platform
  • Zoom in or out for easier reading
  • Download it to your device if needed
This means you have everything in one place - the fitment, the reasoning, and the actual resume, to make a confident, informed decision.
