When adding Job Description (JD) in Talview’s Workflow Tools platform, users may sometimes encounter formatting issues such as misplaced alignment, overlapping text, or loss of structure after pasting content. These problems typically arise from copying text from external sources or from using unsupported formatting styles. The table below outlines common issues and quick ways to resolve them.

Place your cursor at the beginning of the unwanted blank line and press Backspace (Windows) or Delete (Mac) until the gap closes.

Use Shift+Enter (Windows) or Shift+Return (Mac) to create a single line break without adding extra paragraph spacing.
Bulleted or numbered lists do not appear correctlyRemove the copied list and recreate it using the editor’s inbuilt bullet/numbered list tool to ensure consistency with supported styles.
Fonts, colors, or font sizes look mismatchedReset formatting using the toolbar and stick to the default font settings of the JD editor for a clean, professional look.
Heading levels don’t maintain hierarchy (all text looks like the same size)Apply heading styles (H1, H2, H3) directly from the toolbar instead of relying on pasted formatting.

  • Always copy and paste content first into a plain text editor (like Notepad/ TextEdit) before adding it into Talview’s JD editor. This ensures no hidden formatting is carried over.
