If you’re unable to hear instructions or audio prompts during your assessment, the issue is usually related to browser-level audio settings rather than your device volume. Use the checklist below to quickly identify and resolve common causes.

After unmuting:
  • Reload your Talview assessment link
  • Watch for instructions or voice-based system checks
  • Make sure no Bluetooth headphones or HDMI screens are silently taking over the output
Additional tips:
  • Reload the test page after unmuting the tab to ensure changes take effect.
  • Restart the browser if audio still does not play after fixing settings.
  • Avoid using wireless audio devices during the test, as they may redirect sound output.
  • Ensure no other applications are actively controlling system audio.
