System Check

✔️Before starting the assessment, Talview will prompt you to perform a system check. ✔️This system check verifies that your device meets the necessary requirements. ✔️Ensure your webcam and microphone are enabled and functioning during this check, as these will be used during the proctoring process. ✔️Follow any prompts to resolve issues if your device does not meet the requirements.

Additional Tips:

  • Before starting your assessment, candidates are strongly encouraged to go through a Demo video to use the Video Diagnostics App to ensure your camera, microphone, and system setup before starting your assessment. This tool helps verify that all necessary hardware and permissions are correctly configured for a smooth experience.
  • Run a speed test to verify your internet connection meets the minimum requirements of 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload speed.
  • If camera or microphone permissions are not working, check if they are enabled at the system level.
    • On Windows, go to Settings > Privacy & security > App permissions, and toggle the switches for your browser to “On”.
    • On macOS, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, and enable camera, microphone, and screen recording permissions for your browser.
  • Choose a quiet, well-lit space free from distractions for taking your assessment. Ensure adequate lighting on your face and avoid backlighting from windows or bright lights behind you.
