Schedules define the specific time slots during which candidates can attend an assessment. As an exam administrator, you can control when candidates take an exam by creating one-off or recurring schedule slots, which can be configured across multiple centers. In this article, you will learn how to add a schedule for an assessment step in the Coordinator Console. Before You Begin Make sure you have:
  • Log in to your Talview account and make sure you have coordinator role access.
  • An active exam with at least one assessment step configured.
  • At least one center added to the exam. Centers must be mapped before schedules can be created for them.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the exam and go to the assessment step From the Coordinator Console, navigate to the Exams section and click on the exam you want to schedule. Inside the exam, click on the assessment step tab where you want to add a schedule. 2. Click + Add Schedule In the top-right area of the schedule view, click + Add Schedule. The Add Schedule modal opens. 3. Set the schedule details Fill in the following fields:
  • Start Date - the date on which this slot should first run. Click the field to open the date picker and select a date.
  • Start Time - the time the slot begins. Select from the dropdown.
  • End Time - the time the slot ends. Select from the dropdown.
Note: All times are in Asia/Calcutta timezone, as indicated in the modal. Make sure your selections account for this if your candidates are in a different region.
4. Set recurrence (optional) If you want the slot to repeat on multiple days:
  • Toggle the day-of-week buttons (M T W T F S S) to select which days the slot should recur on.
  • Set the Until date - the last date on which this recurring slot should run.
If you only need a one-off slot, leave the day toggles and Until date blank. 5. Click Create Click Create to save the schedule. The modal closes and the new slot appears in the schedule table, grouped under its start date. The Capacity and Bookings columns will reflect the center capacity configured for this slot. The capacity for a slot is determined by the number of seats available at the centers mapped to that assessment step — to adjust capacity, update the center configuration in the Centers tab.
Additional Tips
  • You can create multiple slots for the same assessment step, for example, a morning slot and an afternoon slot on the same day, or daily slots across a full exam window.
  • The slot’s capacity is determined by the centers mapped to the exam step. If you need to adjust capacity, review the center configuration in the Centers tab.
  • For recurring slots, the Until date controls how long the recurrence runs. Make sure this aligns with your exam window so candidates don’t see slots available outside the intended period.
  • To delete a slot, click the delete icon next to it in the schedule table.
