1. Access LMS Dashboard

  • Log in to your LMS Dashboard.
  • Click on the “LMS Configuration” option located at the top right of the screen.

2. Select LMS for Configuration

  • A pop-up will appear. Choose “Brightspace” from the list of available LMS options.

3. Generate Refresh Token

  • On the Brightspace configuration screen, click the “Generate Refresh Token” button at the top right of the screen.
  • A form will appear prompting you to enter integration details. Provide the following information:
    • Client ID
    • Redirect URI
    • Scope
    • Client Secret

4. Authenticate and Generate Token

  • After filling in the required details, click on the “Generate Refresh Token” button.
  • You will be redirected to the D2L LMS login page.
  • Log in with your credentials.

5. Return to Brightspace Configuration

  • After successful login, you will be redirected back to the Brightspace configuration screen in the LMS Dashboard.

6. Complete Configuration

  • The “Refresh Token” and “App ID” fields will be automatically populated.
  • Fill in the remaining fields:
    • LMS URL
    • Proview Admin Username
    • Proview Admin Password
  • Once all fields are complete, click on the “Update Configuration” button.
  • The refresh token is securely stored in our database.
The refresh token may not always be valid for the instance after updates made to the browser extension. In such instances, it is recommended to generated the refresh token again and update the configuration.
