🗣️How to Prompt Ivy to Speak or Respond

If you’ve verified your microphone is working but Ivy still isn’t responding, try these steps to prompt interaction: ✔️Speak clearly and wait for Ivy to process your response After you finish answering, pause for 2-3 seconds to allow Ivy to process your answer before expecting a follow-up question. ✔️Answer the question completely before pausing Ivy is designed to detect when you’ve finished speaking and will ask follow-up questions based on your response. Ensure you provide a complete answer rather than short phrases, as this helps Ivy understand your response and generate appropriate follow-ups. ✔️Speak at a normal conversational pace Ivy AI is built to simulate human-like interactions and real-time conversations. Speak naturally at a moderate pace, not too fast or too slow, to help Ivy accurately capture and interpret your responses. ✔️Avoid long silences during your answers If you pause for too long while speaking, Ivy may interpret this as the end of your response and move on to the next question. Keep your answers flowing without extended pauses to maintain conversation continuity. ✔️If Ivy doesn’t respond after your answer, repeat your response If Ivy doesn’t acknowledge your answer or ask a follow-up question after a reasonable wait (5-10 seconds), try repeating your response clearly and slightly louder to ensure its captured.
Additional Tips:
  • Complete the system readiness check and environment check before starting your interview to verify all hardware is working properly
  • Speak loudly and continuously while testing your microphone during the setup process
  • Position your microphone appropriately (6-8 inches from your mouth) to capture your audio clearly throughout the test
  • Use a wired headset instead of Bluetooth devices to avoid connectivity delays or audio quality issues
  • Ensure all devices you plan to use are plugged in, switched on, and fully charged before logging in to Talview
  • Ensure no physical mute button on your headset, keyboard, or device is activated
  • Check and securely reconnect your microphone cable if using an external device. Avoid using damaged wires
  • Test your microphone before the interview begins
