As part of enrolling for an exam, you may be asked to verify your identity by submitting a photo ID and a face capture, if this step has been enabled by your exam coordinator. Talview uses these details to confirm your identity throughout your exam journey. In this article, you will learn how to submit your ID and face capture during enrollment.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:
  • Entered your basic enrollment details (Full Name, Country of Residence, and Age).
  • A desktop with a working camera.
  • A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a Driver License, Passport) on hand.
  • If you’re an underage candidate, completed the parent or legal guardian consent and verification steps first - these steps only appear for underage candidates and must be finished before you can submit your own ID and face capture. Underage candidates require consent from a parent or legal guardian before they can enroll.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Provide your ID details
  • Select the Country that issued your ID.
  • Select the Subdivision(state/province) where your ID was issued from the searchable dropdown.
  • Select the type of ID you’ll be submitting - for example, Driver License, Passport.
  • Select Capture next to your chosen ID type.
2. Capture your ID
  • Once camera access is allowed, position the front of your ID within the on-screen frame, making sure all edges are visible and there’s no glare, then select Capture.
  • Depending on the type of ID, you may also be prompted to capture the back of your ID in the same way.
  • On the review screen, confirm the image(s) are clear and select Submit, or retake if needed.
3. Capture your face
  • Position your face within the on-screen frame, following the on-screen instructions - look straight at the camera, ensure good lighting, and avoid covering your face or wearing hats or sunglasses.
  • Select Capture.
  • On the review screen, confirm the image is clear and select Submit, or retake it if needed.
4. Confirmation
  • Once your face capture is submitted, a confirmation screen lets you know your details have been submitted successfully.
  • You’ll also receive a confirmation email at your registered email address with further details about your exam, including the date, time, and any additional instructions you may need before your exam.
  • If any of your submitted details need to be reviewed manually, you may be contacted separately before you receive final confirmation.

Additional Tips
  • If the candidate is below 18, the parental consent and verification steps always come first, the candidate’s own ID and face capture only happens after the parent or guardian has completed their part.
  • Make sure your ID is fully visible with no cropped corners before submitting, a blurry or partial capture may need to be retaken.
