Introduction
The Proview plugin, developed by Talview Inc., integrates the Proview proctoring solution into Moodle 4.5 LMS. It is designed to deliver a secure, seamless, and efficient proctoring experience directly through your web browser. This plugin continuously evolves with frequent feature enhancements. This guide covers how to configure proctoring for quizzes, view session recordings, and attempt a proctored quiz within Moodle 4.5 LMS.Capabilities
Proview offers the following proctoring capabilities through Moodle 4.5 LMS:- Cross-platform compatibility: Proview works across major web browsers and operating systems, ensuring a consistent experience for all users regardless of their device.
- Live remote proctoring: Supports concurrent monitoring of multiple online exams by live proctors, who handle candidate verification, active monitoring, flagging, intervention, and exam termination when necessary.
- AI-powered recorded proctoring: Uses advanced video and audio analytics to monitor candidate behavior, detect suspicious activity, verify screen focus, identify restricted objects, and flag background audio in real time.
- Record and review: Automatically records and flags candidate behavior during the exam. After the exam, trained proctors can review flagged events to certify exam validity and test taker authenticity.
Supported Browsers and Operating Systems
Keep your browser and OS updated to one of the supported versions below to avoid any issues during proctoring sessions.
- Windows Devices: Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Apple Devices: macOS Sonoma (14.6.1), macOS Ventura (13.6.9), macOS Monterey (12.7.6).
