🚀 What the Network Speed Test Checks

When you click Start Check, Talview’s system will automatically test:
  • Connectivity – Verifies that your device is online and able to connect to our servers.
  • Bandwidth – Checks if your internet speed is sufficient for video streaming and real-time interaction.
  • Latency – Measures how quickly data travels between your device and our servers. Lower latency means smoother video and audio.
This check usually takes a few seconds and shows real-time results for each area.

✅ How to Run the Check

  1. Go to the System Readiness Check page.
  2. Click the Start Check button.
  3. Wait while the system analyzes your internet connection.
Each test will be marked as either Passed, Warning, or Failed, along with helpful messages to guide you.

🔍 Understanding the Results

If all tests pass, you’re ready to proceed with your assessment or interview.
  • If Connectivity fails: You are not connected to a stable internet source.
  • If Bandwidth is low: You may experience frozen video or delayed audio. You may be using a congested or limited-speed network.
  • If Latency is high: You may face choppy video or audio echo due to data delays.

⚠️ What to Do if You See a Warning or Failure

Here are some tips if your speed test result indicates high latency, low bandwidth, or unstable connectivity:
  • Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi if available.
  • Close apps and tabs that use the internet heavily (e.g., Zoom, Netflix, YouTube).
  • Avoid VPNs, as they may increase latency.
  • Restart your modem/router before retrying the check.
  • Sit closer to your Wi-Fi router if you’re on wireless.
  • If you’re using a mobile hotspot, ensure you have full signal and no background apps consuming data.

🔁 When Should You Retest?

Click Retest if:
  • You’ve made any network changes (e.g., switched to mobile data or a different Wi-Fi).
  • You closed apps or restarted your router.
  • Your test showed a warning or failure earlier.
This ensures you’re fully prepared before your session begins.
