# Why is the Registration link or QR code not generated after opening?

When a workflow is opened for registration, Workflow Tools generates a **registration link and QR code** that candidates can use to register themselves.

If the link or QR code does not appear, it is usually due to workflow configuration, registration status, or UI-related conditions.

## 🔎 Troubleshooting Common Issues

| Workflow is not opened for registration       | Confirm that the workflow is explicitly **opened for registration** and saved successfully.                          |
| Required workflow steps are incomplete        | Ensure mandatory steps (such as Screening or Assessment setup) are properly configured before opening registration.  |
| Registration changes not saved                | After enabling registration, click **Save** and wait for confirmation before checking for the link or QR code.       |
| Page not refreshed after opening registration | Refresh the workflow page after opening it for registration to allow the link and QR code to load.                   |
| Workflow opened recently                      | Wait a few seconds to a minute after opening registration, then refresh the page.                                    |
| User does not have required permissions       | Ensure you are logged in as a **Recruiter** or **Master Recruiter** with permission to manage workflow registration. |
| Browser or UI rendering issue                 | Refresh the page, clear browser cache, or try accessing the workflow in a supported browser (Chrome recommended).    |

  * **Reopen registration if needed**

    Close and reopen registration, then refresh the page to regenerate the link and QR code.
  * **Check in a new session**

    Log out and log back in, then reopen the workflow to rule out session-related issues.
  * **Avoid multiple rapid changes**

    Allow the system a moment to process registration status updates before navigating away.
  * **Verify with another user**

    Ask another recruiter to open the same workflow and confirm whether the link or QR code appears.
