</div>

**Step 1: Open the workflow**

Navigate to the relevant workflow from your dashboard.

**Step 2: Go to the Screening step**

Click on the **Screening** step within the workflow to view the list of candidates.

**Step 3: Open the candidate's profile**

Click on the candidate whose resume you want to delete.

**Step 4: Navigate to the Resume sub-tab**

Inside the candidate profile, go to the **Overview** tab and click on the **Resume** sub-tab. You will see:

* The uploaded resume file
* The **fitment label** (Low Fit, Potential Fit, or Strong Fit) and **reasoning summary** - these are only visible if the resume fitment feature has been enabled for your organization

**Step 5: Click the "✕" button**

On the top right corner of the resume file, click the "**✕"** button. This will delete the uploaded resume from the candidate's profile.

### What Happens After Deletion?

* The uploaded resume file is removed from the candidate's profile
* The fitment score and reasoning summary associated with that resume will no longer be available
* If you wish to re-evaluate the candidate, you will need to upload a new resume and allow the system to re-parse and regenerate the fitment score

<Note>
  **Important Notes**

  * Deleting a resume is a **permanent action** - the file cannot be recovered once removed
  * Deleting a resume does not remove the candidate from the workflow, only the resume file and its associated fitment score are deleted
  * To upload a new resume for the same candidate after deletion, refer to [*How to Upload a Candidate Resume and Meet File Requirements*](https://docs.talview.com/hiring-teams/recruiter/screening/how-tos/how-to-upload-a-candidate-resume-and-meet-file-requirements)
