# Candidate Joined vs Interviewer Joined Notifications

This article explains how recruiters can track the real-time join status of both candidates and interviewers during an interview. It also covers how the system escalates when one participant is waiting without the other joining.

### Step-by-Step Walkthrough

</div>

### **1. Check Status in the Table View**

* Login as a recruiter and select the workflow and open the **Interview step**.
* In the table view, look at the candidate and interviewer attendance by hovering on the avatars against them. Their status will display as:
  * **Not joined** – The participant has not joined the interview room.
  * **Joined** – The participant is currently in the interview room.
  * **No Show** – The participant did not join during the interview window.

### **2. View Status in the Side Panel**

* Click on the interview card for any candidate.
* In the side panel, you’ll see the same join statuses (*Yet to Join, Joined, No Show*) for both the candidate and interviewer.

### **3. Recruiter Escalation Email**

* If either the candidate or the interviewer has joined but is waiting alone for more than **5 minutes after the interview start time**, the system automatically sends an **escalation email**.
* This email is sent to the **interview organizer (recruiter)** to notify them of the delay so they can take corrective action.

<Tip>
  Checking **join statuses** in real time helps recruiters proactively step in. \
  If you receive an escalation email, follow up quickly with the participant who hasn’t joined to prevent interview cancellations or extended waiting times.
