# Understanding Network Requirements for Clear VoIP Calls

A stable internet connection is essential for clear and uninterrupted VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls in Talview. Evaluators can initiate calls to candidates directly from the interview landing page, ensuring prompt and seamless communication.

Meeting the recommended network requirements guarantees smooth, real-time audio performance during interviews and assessments.

## 📶 Minimum and Recommended Bandwidth

## 🌐 How to Check Your Network Speed

Before starting your interview or assessment, test your connection using Talview’s [speed test](https://speed.talview.com/) tool.

### Steps:

1. Click **Start Test** to begin.
2. Wait for the test to finish, it automatically measures **download**, **upload**, and **latency**.
3. Compare your results with the values in the **Recommended Network Metrics** table below.
