# How to chat with the Live interview participants

The **Chat** feature allows interviewers to send and receive text messages with candidates and other interviewers during a Live Interview, enabling quick coordination, clarifications, and non-verbal communication without interrupting the interview.

## How to Chat with Participants

### Step 1: Open the Chat Panel

* Click the **Chat** icon in the interview control panel
* The chat panel opens on the right side of the screen

### Step 2: Send a Message

* Type your message in the text field
* Click the **arrow** to send the message

> * Chat messages are visible only to selected participants
> * Chat supports file uploads
> * You can switch the chat view between Everyone and Interviewers

  * Use the **📎 attachment icon** to share files (case studies, instructions, documents).
  * Use the **\</> code icon** to insert formatted code snippets during technical interviews.
  * Use the **🔗 link icon** to add clickable URLs for reference materials.
  * Always verify files and links before sending them to the candidate.
