# How can Evaluators use the Whiteboard during a Live Interviews

Talview Interview Rooms provide evaluators with a collaborative environment that includes a **Whiteboard feature**. Using the Whiteboard allows evaluators to present problems visually, guide candidates through tasks, and encourage collaborative problem-solving in real time.

This article explains how evaluators can seamlessly access and switch to the Whiteboard during an ongoing Talview interview session.

## Prerequisites

Before switching to the Whiteboard, ensure the following:

* You have an **active Talview interview session**.
* You are logged in as an **evaluator** with access to interview room features.
* You have a **stable internet connection** for smooth real-time collaboration.

## **Steps to switch to the Whiteboard**

### **1. Join the Interview Room**

* Log into your Talview dashboard.
* Access the ongoing interview session where you want to use the Whiteboard.

### **2. Locate the Whiteboard Icon**

* In the interview room toolbar (usually at the bottom left of the screen), look for the Whiteboard icon.
* The icon may appear as a *pen*, *marker*, or *whiteboard* symbol.

### **3. Switch to Whiteboard Mode**

* Click the **Whiteboard** icon.
* The view will switch from video/presentation mode to the interactive Whiteboard.

### **4. Use the Whiteboard Tools**

* Write, draw, highlight, or erase using tools such as pens, markers, shapes, and colors.
* You can clear or reset the board if needed.

### **5. Return to Interview Mode**

* To exit Whiteboard mode, click **Exit Whiteboard** or select **Video/Screen Share** from the toolbar to return to the standard interview view.

  * The Whiteboard is **collaborative**; any updates appear in real time for all participants.
  * Evaluators control whether candidates can edit or only view the Whiteboard.
  * A strong internet connection is recommended for a seamless experience.
