# Interviewer FAQs - Pre and post interview

## Introduction

This FAQ helps **interviewers** understand how to manage their pre- and post-interview responsibilities within **Talview Workflow Tools**.

It covers how to RSVP and prepare for interviews, handle live scenarios such as delays or no-shows, and complete post-interview evaluations efficiently.

The article also outlines who can view your evaluations, submission timelines, and how to address any concerns after the session.

## 1. Pre-Interview: RSVP, Scheduling, and Attendance

**Q1. How do I RSVP to an interview?**

When you’re added as an interviewer, you’ll receive a **calendar invite** and an **email notification** with interview details.

You can RSVP using any of the following methods:

* Click **Accept / Decline / Tentative** in the calendar invite or the attached `.ics` file.
* Choose your RSVP option directly from the **email body**.
* Update your response from the **Interview Details** page within Talview Workflow Tools.

Your response automatically updates the recruiter’s dashboard and helps ensure proper scheduling.

**Q2. Can I change my RSVP after responding?**

Yes. You can change your RSVP **anytime before the interview ends** by:

* Reopening the calendar invite and selecting a new response.
* Choosing another option from the email body.
* Updating your response in the **Interview Details** page within the platform.

Your recruiter will automatically be notified of your updated response.

**Q3. What happens if I don’t RSVP at all?**

If no RSVP is recorded before the scheduled time, your status remains **“Invited.”**

* The system or recruiters may send you reminders.
* If the interview remains unconfirmed close to the scheduled time, the system may **flag it as unconfirmed** and allow recruiters to assign a backup interviewer.

**Q4. What should I do if I can’t join at the scheduled time?**

If you realize you can’t attend:

1. Update your RSVP to **Decline** or **Propose a New Time** immediately.
2. Choose an **alternate interviewer** in the decline flow (from the email body if available).
3. Notify the recruiter via **email or chat** to help them reassign quickly.

This ensures minimal disruption and maintains a smooth candidate experience.

**Q5. How do I know if my attendance was recorded?**

Attendance is automatically tracked once you **join the interview session** using the link in your calendar invite or via the **Interview Details** page.

After the interview:

* The dashboard marks you as **“Attended”** if your join time was logged.
* If you didn’t join, the system will show **“No-Show.”**

**Q6. Can I test my audio/video setup before the interview starts?**

Yes. Before joining, you’ll see a **system check screen** that allows you to:

* Test your **camera**, **microphone**, and **speakers**.
* Verify your **network connectivity** and **permissions**.

  If any issue appears, follow the troubleshooting prompts or contact your **IT team** or **Talview Support** before joining the session.

**Q7. Where can I access the candidate’s profile and resume before the interview?**

You can review the candidate’s profile directly in **Workflow Tools** by clicking on the **Resume** icon in the invitation email.

You can also view it from the platform once you login.

## 2. Post-Interview: Evaluation & Feedback

**Q8. When will I receive the evaluation form?**

You’ll receive the **evaluation form** immediately after the interview ends.

* A notification email and an in-platform alert will prompt you to complete the evaluation.
* You can also access it anytime later via **Candidate → Evaluations Tab** in Workflow Tools.

**Q9. What’s the deadline for submitting my evaluation?**

The evaluation should ideally be submitted **within 24 hours** of the interview, or within the time defined by your organization’s policy.

Delayed submissions may impact candidate progression.

If you’re unable to complete it on time, inform the **recruiter** so they can plan accordingly.

**Q10. Can I edit my evaluation after submission?**

Editing options depend on your organization’s settings.

If you need to modify your feedback:

* Navigate to the **evaluation form** and click **Edit Evaluation** (if available).
* Alternatively, request the recruiter to **reopen your evaluation** for updates.

**Q11. Who can see my evaluation comments and recommendations?**

Your evaluation and comments are visible only to authorized roles, typically:

* Recruiters
* Hiring Managers
* Master Recruiters

Candidates **never see** your evaluation feedback or internal notes.

**Q12. What does the post-interview summary email contain?**

After the interview, you’ll receive a **summary email** containing:

* Candidate name and interview details (date, time, mode)
* Attendance confirmation
* Evaluation submission link

This email serves as a reminder to complete your evaluation promptly and provides easy access to the candidate record.

**Q13. Who should I contact if I have concerns about a candidate after the interview?** ✅ *\[New]*

If you have specific concerns or observations about a candidate that weren’t included in your evaluation form:

* Reach out directly to the **recruiter** or **hiring manager** via email or chat.
* You can also add a **private note** in the evaluation form (if your organization allows it).

  These insights help recruiters and hiring teams make informed decisions.
