# Why isn't the "Join Interview" button visible?

Not being able to see the **Join Interview** button when an interview is imminent can be stressful, especially when you're trying to get in on time. This is usually caused by a timing restriction, a page loading issue, or an interview status problem on Talview.

In this article, you will find the most common causes and fixes to get the **Join Interview** button visible so you can join the session without delay.

| The interview hasn't reached the 10-minute window yet | The **Join Interview** button only becomes active when the interview is scheduled to start within the next **10 minutes**. <br />If you're checking in earlier than that, the button won't be enabled. <br />Check the scheduled start time and return closer to it. |
| The page hasn't loaded the latest data                | Try refreshing your browser by pressing `Ctrl + R` (Windows) or `Command + R` (Mac) to reload the page and fetch the latest data. <br />The button may appear after a refresh.                                                                                       |
| The interview status hasn't updated correctly         | If the interview status isn't showing as **Scheduled**, the button may not appear. <br />Check the interview status in the timeline view and reach out to the recruiter if it appears incorrect.                                                                     |
| You're viewing the wrong interview step               | Make sure you've navigated to the correct **Interview** step in the candidate detail view. <br />If the workflow has multiple interview steps, the button will only appear under the step the interview is scheduled against.                                        |
| Your browser cache is causing a display issue         | Clear your browser cache by pressing `Ctrl + Shift + Delete` (Windows) or `Command + Shift + Delete` (Mac), reload the page, and check again.                                                                                                                        |
| The interview was cancelled or rescheduled            | If the interview was cancelled or moved to a different time, the button won't appear. <br />Check with the recruiter to confirm the current status of the interview.                                                                                                 |
| You're not assigned to this candidate's evaluation    | The **Join Interview** button is only available to evaluators assigned to that candidate. <br />If you haven't been assigned, reach out to the recruiter to confirm your assignment.                                                                                 |

<Tip>
  **Additional Tips**

  * Keep the candidate detail view open and refresh the page a minute or two before the scheduled start time, the **Join Interview** button will appear automatically once you're within the 10-minute window.
  * If you're still unable to see the button after the interview start time has passed, the session may have already begun without you. Reach out to the recruiter immediately so they can provide assistance.
  * Make sure your camera and microphone permissions are enabled in your browser before joining, this will save you time once the button becomes active.
  * If the issue persists after trying all the steps above, reach out to your admin or recruiter for further assistance.
  * The Join Interview button will only be available for the online interview. Make sure to always double check the type of Interview.
