# How to cancel a candidate’s booking

This article explains how coordinators cancel a candidate's booking at either the full-enrollment level or for an individual assessment from the Talview Coordinator Console, including where to find the cancel action and what to verify after cancellation.

**1. Open the Exams list and select the exam**

* From the dashboard, open the **Exams** list view.
* Locate the exam row for the exam containing the candidate’s enrollment.
* Click the exam row to open the exam details screen.

**2. Cancel the full enrollment (all steps)**

* Click the **Enrollments** tab to view candidate rows.
* Locate the candidate row you want to cancel.
* Click the ellipsis (more actions) on the candidate row and select **Cancel booking** to cancel the entire enrollment.

**3. Cancel a single exam step for a candidate**

* Open the assessment tab for the specific step (for example, **Reading & Listening** or **Speaking**).
* Locate the candidate time slot for that assessment step.
* Click on the candidate time slot
* Locate the candidate name
* Click on the ellipsis (more actions) on the candidate’s row in the step tab and select **Cancel booking** to cancel only that step.

**4. Confirm cancellation**

* Verify the candidate’s enrollment or step status updates (for example, to Canceled) in the Enrollments or assessment tab.
* Confirm any center assignments or capacity counters reflect the cancellation.

  * Confirm scope (full enrollment vs. single step) before you cancel.
  * Verify candidate, tenant, and time‑zone details to avoid timing mistakes.
  * Check accommodations and ensure assigned centers receive any required updates.
