# What do the enrollment status labels mean

In the Coordinator Console, every candidate in the Enrollment tab has an **Enrollment Status** label that shows where they currently stand in the exam lifecycle. These labels are displayed as colour-coded pills, making it easy to quickly assess the state of your candidate pool at a glance. In this article, you will learn what each enrollment status label means.

### How status labels are colour coded

Enrollment status pills use colour to indicate the nature of the status:

* **Grey** - neutral or in-progress states (e.g. Invited, Registered, Withdrawn)
* **Green** - positive states indicating progression or completion (e.g. Approved, Completed)
* **Red** - negative or terminal states requiring attention (e.g. Rejected, Expired)

### Enrollment status labels

### Active statuses

These statuses indicate that the candidate is currently in the enrollment lifecycle.

| Status | Colour | What it means |
| :------------- | :----- | :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Invited** | Grey | The candidate has been sent an invitation to enroll for the exam but has not yet taken any action. |
| **Registered** | Grey | The candidate has completed the enrollment steps and is awaiting coordinator approval before proceeding. |
| **Approved** | Green | The candidate's enrollment has been reviewed and approved. They are cleared to proceed with booking a slot and taking the exam. |

### Terminal statuses

These statuses indicate that the candidate's enrollment has reached a final state.

| Status | Colour | What it means |
| :------------ | :----- | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Completed** | Green | The candidate has successfully completed the exam and the enrollment lifecycle has concluded. |
| **Rejected** | Red | The coordinator has rejected the candidate's enrollment. Only reachable from the Registered status. |
| **Expired** | Red | The candidate did not complete the exam within their defined eligibility window. |
| **Withdrawn** | Grey | The candidate has withdrawn from the exam entirely. This is distinct from a booking cancellation - a withdrawn candidate has exited the enrollment lifecycle, not just a specific slot. |

### How to use enrollment status in the Enrollment tab

The **Enrollment Status** column is always visible in the Enrollment tab. Each candidate's current status is shown as a pill in this column alongside other key details like Eligibility, Current Step, Payment, and ID verification status.

To view only candidates with a specific enrollment status, use the **Enrollment Status** filter. Click the filter icon at the top right of the Enrollment tab, select **Enrollment Status**, and check the statuses you want to filter by. See How to filter enrollments in the coordinator console for the full walkthrough.

  **Additional Tips**

The Enrollment Status column updates automatically as candidates progress through the lifecycle, you don't need to refresh the page manually.

Use the colour coding to quickly scan for candidates who need attention - red pills (Rejected, Expired) indicate candidates who may need follow-up action.

**Rejected** and **Expired** are terminal states - no further enrollment actions can be taken on these candidates unless they are re-invited.

**Withdrawn** is different from a booking cancellation. A withdrawn candidate has fully exited the exam - they are not simply removed from a slot.
