#### Step-by-step guide

<div style={{ position:"relative",paddingBottom:"calc(54.02777777777777% + 41px)",height:0,width:"600px",margin:"0 auto" }}>
  <iframe src="https://demo.arcade.software/KiqQLI45Ly7ZfiuKZJi0?embed&embed_mobile=tab&embed_desktop=inline&show_copy_link=true" title="Edit a published avatar in the Ivy Avatar Builder" frameBorder="0" loading="lazy" webkitAllowFullScreen mozAllowFullScreen allowFullScreen allow="clipboard-write" style={{ position:"absolute",top:0,left:0,width:"100%",height:"100%",colorScheme:"light" }} />
</div>

1. Open the published avatar's profile from the **Avatar Dashboard**.
2. Toggle **Advanced mode** on. You'll see a warning banner: *"Edits saved here are irreversible and will overwrite the AI's core persona."*
3. Edit any of the fields directly, such as the avatar's **name**, **About** section, or other profile details.
4. Once you're done, click **Publish** to save your changes.
5. You'll see a confirmation screen: **"Persona published,"** letting you know the avatar is live with your updates.
6. The avatar's updated details now appear on the **Avatar Dashboard**, replacing the previous version.

  **Additional Tips**

  * Editing a published avatar overwrites its existing details. There is no separate draft version, changes are applied directly once you publish.
  * Double-check your edits before publishing, since previous details aren't retained separately.
