# How to dismiss an incident

When reviewing a session, you may come across incidents that were incorrectly flagged by the system. Dismissing an incident marks it as a false positive and excludes it from the final integrity rating, keeping your review accurate without removing the incident from the record entirely.

1. Click the second icon on the right strip of the video player to open the incidents pane.
2. Locate the incident you want to dismiss and click the **dismiss icon** on the right side of the incident row.
3. In the modal that appears, enter a reason for dismissal in the text field provided. The **Dismiss** button remains disabled until a reason has been entered.
4. Click **Dismiss** to confirm.
5. The incident title is struck through to indicate it has been dismissed. A note appears below the incident showing who dismissed it, at what time, and the reason provided.
