# How to start a scheduled session

Proctors can start a scheduled session directly from the **Bookings** page. Once a session is ready to begin, you can launch it from the session card and proceed to manage the candidates assigned to that schedule.

1. Navigate to the **Bookings** page after logging in.
2. In the **Sessions** tab, locate the session that is ready to begin.
3. Review the session details such as **date**, **time**, and **assigned room** to ensure you are starting the correct schedule.
4. Click the **Start Session** button on the session card.

Once the session is started, you will be redirected to the **candidate management view** for that schedule.

### What Happens After Starting the Session

After the session starts, you will be able to:

* View the **list of candidates assigned to the session**
* Monitor each candidate’s **status and progress**
* Perform actions such as **check-in, profile view, incident reporting, and status updates**
* Track **seat assignments and exam details**

  Before starting the schedule, ensure that:

  * The **session start time has arrived**
  * The **correct room and setup are ready**
  * You are starting the **intended session** from your schedule list

  Starting the session at the correct time ensures that candidate monitoring and check-in can begin smoothly.
