# Understanding Candidates Dashboard

The Candidates tab in **Talview's In-Center platform** gives the center admin a session-level view of all candidates at a specific exam center. In this article, you will learn how to monitor candidate progress, verify seating, manage accommodations, and perform operational actions during an exam session.

Each row in the table displays key candidate information:

* Candidate name and email
* External ID
* Registered exam
* Scheduled slot
* Exam duration
* Assigned room and seat
* Accommodations (if any)
* Current status
* Registration date

**Searching for a candidate**

Use the **Search** bar at the top right to locate a candidate by name, email, or ID.

**Monitoring candidate status**

The **Status** column shows the candidate's current stage in the exam journey. Statuses include:

**Verifying room and seat assignments**

The **Room** and **Seat** columns show where each candidate is placed. Use these to manage seating logistics, support on-ground staff, and resolve seating conflicts.

**Reviewing accommodations**

The **Accommodations** column displays icons representing approved accommodations for each candidate. This helps you quickly identify candidates who require special support during the exam.

**Performing candidate actions**

Each candidate row includes a three-dot menu with the following actions:

* **Update Status** — manually adjust the candidate's exam status when required
* **Check-in** — mark the candidate as checked in
* **Report incident** — log any exam-related issues
* **Upload results** — submit or attach exam outcomes
* **Reschedule** — move the candidate to a different slot
* **Cancel booking** — cancel the candidate's exam appointment

**Navigating by exam date**

Candidates are grouped by exam date. Use this to manage daily test sessions, track attendance per day, and review historical activity.

**Managing pagination**

Use the **Page controls** and **Rows per page** selector at the bottom of the table to navigate through large candidate lists.
