# How to view candidates using Workflow tabs

In Center dashboard, candidates are organized into workflow tabs based on the exam they're registered for. Instead of a single candidate list, each exam type has its own tab - making it easier to view and manage candidates for a specific assessment. In this article, you will learn how to navigate workflow tabs and view candidates within them.

***

### Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

* Logged in with the appropriate role credentials (Center Admin, Center Manager, Proctor Lead, or Proctor).
* At least one center with active bookings.

***

### Step-by-Step Guide

**1. Open the center**

From the **Centers** list, click on the center you want to view. This opens the center's detail page.

**2. Locate the workflow tabs**

At the top, you'll see tabs alongside **Overview** and **Capacity**. Each additional tab represents a workflow step. These tabs are predefined based on the exam workflows configured for your center.

**3. Click on a workflow tab**

Click on the tab for the exam type you want to view. The page displays a list of candidates registered for that specific exam, grouped by date (e.g., "Wednesday, 29 Apr 2026").

**4. Review candidate details**

Each row shows the following information:

* **Candidate** - name and email address.
* **Accommodations** - displayed as icons (e.g., religious attire, extra time).
* **Registered Exam** - the exam the candidate is registered for.
* **Slot** - the scheduled time window.
* **Duration** - total exam duration.
* **Room** - the assigned room.
* **Seat** - the assigned seat.
* **Status** - current status (Registered, Checked-in, No Show, etc.).
* **Registration Date** - when the candidate was registered.

**5. Take action on a candidate**

Click the **three-dot menu (⋯)** on any candidate row to see available actions. These include **View profile**, **Check In**, **Decline booking**, **Mark as absent**, and **Report incident**. Actions that aren't available for the candidate's current status will appear greyed out.

  **Additional Tips**

  * Use the **Search (Ctrl+K)** bar at the top right to find a specific candidate by name or email within the current workflow tab.
  * Use the **Filter** icon to narrow down candidates by status, slot, room, or other criteria.
  * The [**Export**](https://docs.talview.com/center-and-proctor-administration/center-admin/how-tos/how-to-export-candidate-data) button downloads candidate data for the current workflow tab.
