# How to view a candidate's profile in Center dashboard

The candidate profile gives you a detailed view of a candidate's session activity, including a record of their check-in attempts, captured photos and ID documents, registration details, and any reported incidents. In this article, you will learn how to access and navigate the candidate profile within the Center dashboard.

***

### Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

* Logged in with the appropriate role credentials (Center Admin, Center Manager, Proctor Lead, or Proctor).
* Opened a center and navigated to a **workflow tab** (e.g., Listening-Reading-Writing Session).

***

### Step-by-Step Guide

**1. Open the candidate profile**

From a workflow tab, click on the **candidate's name** in the list. A side panel opens on the right displaying the candidate's profile.

**2. Review the profile header**

At the top of the panel, you'll see:

* **Candidate name** and **status badge** (e.g., "Checked-in" in green).
* **Email address**.
* **Registered exam** name.
* **Accommodation tags** - displayed as pill badges with icons (e.g., "Religious attire", "Extra time (25%)").

**3. Navigate the activity timeline**

Below the header, the profile displays a chronological activity timeline. Each entry is marked with a color-coded dot:

* 🔴 **Red dot** - indicates an incident (e.g., "Candidate Complaint"). Click on the entry to view the full incident report.
* 🔵 **Blue dot** - indicates a successful action (e.g., "Checked in · Attempt 2").
* ⚫ **Grey dot** - indicates informational events (e.g., Registration Details).

Each entry includes a timestamp (e.g., "29 April 2026, 10:37 AM").

**4. Review check-in details**

Under a blue-dot check-in entry, you'll see the following details:

* **Method** - the check-in method used (e.g., "Physical").
* **Slot** - the scheduled time window (e.g., "9:30 AM - 11:30 AM").
* **Room / Seat** - the assigned room and seat (e.g., "Room A / LRW-10").
* **Center Step** - the center-level workflow step.
* **Exam Step** - the exam-level workflow step.

The attempt number is shown in the entry heading (e.g., "Checked in · Attempt 2"), indicating how many check-in attempts the candidate has made.

**5. View captured photos and ID documents**

Below the check-in details, two sections display verification data:

* **Photos captured** - shows the **Face Capture** taken during check-in with a thumbnail image. Click to view the full image.
* **ID documents captured** - shows **ID Card Front** and **ID Card Back** as separate entries with thumbnail images. Click to view the full document.

**6. Review Registration Details**

At the bottom of the timeline, under a grey dot, the **Registration Details** section shows:

* **Name** - candidate's full name.
* **External ID** - the candidate's external identifier (if assigned).
* **Email** - the candidate's email address.
* **Slot** - the scheduled time window.
* **Room / Seat** - the assigned room and seat.
* **Center Step** - the center-level workflow step.
* **Exam Step** - the exam-level workflow step.

**7. View an incident report**

If the timeline contains a red-dot incident entry, click on it to open the **Incident Report** within the side panel. The report shows:

* **Candidate Name** and **Candidate ID**.
* **Nature of Incident** - the type of incident (e.g., "Candidate Complaint").
* **Severity** - the severity level (e.g., "Low" in green).
* **Time Reported** - when the incident was logged.
* **Select Sub Test** - the specific workflow step the incident relates to (e.g., "Writing"). While the label says "Sub Test," this refers to the workflow step that was active when the incident occurred.
* **What Happened** - a description of the incident.
* **Action Taken** - what action was taken in response.
* **Reason** - additional context or reasoning.

Click the **← back arrow** to return to the main profile timeline.
